How do I calculate a percentage?

To find X% of Y: multiply Y by X/100. To find what % X is of Y: divide X by Y and multiply by 100. Our calculator handles all these automatically.

What is percentage change?

Percentage change measures the relative difference between an old value and a new value: ((New - Old) / Old) multiplied by 100. Positive means increase, negative means decrease.

Can I calculate tips with this?

What's the difference between percentage and percentage points?
