Helpful questions

How do you convert Celsius to Fahrenheit?

Multiply by 9/5 (or 1.8) and add 32. So 20 degrees C = (20 multiplied by 1.8) + 32 = 68 degrees F. Our converter handles this automatically for all temperature units including Kelvin.

What's the difference between metric and imperial?

Metric (SI) uses meters, kilograms, and liters with base-10 scaling. Imperial uses feet, pounds, and gallons with less systematic conversions. Most of the world uses metric; the US primarily uses imperial.

How accurate are the conversions?

The converter uses standard conversion factors and rounded output for everyday use. Review critical engineering, scientific, legal, or safety-sensitive work against authoritative sources.

Can I convert between categories?

Each category converts within its own unit family. You can't directly convert kilograms to meters - they measure different properties. Select the appropriate category tab for your conversion needs.
