Helpful questions

Are images uploaded?

No. Image metadata inspection, previews, export summaries, and supported metadata cleanup run locally in your browser.

What is EXIF?

EXIF is a metadata format commonly stored in photos. It can include camera model, exposure settings, dates, orientation, software, and GPS fields when the camera or editing app wrote them.

Can GPS coordinates be viewed?

Yes, when valid GPS metadata is present. Coordinates are highlighted because they can reveal where a photo was captured.

Can GPS metadata be removed?

The cleanup workflow re-encodes the image locally and usually removes common readable EXIF/GPS metadata. It reports whether GPS is still detected afterward, but it is not forensic sanitization.
