PDF Security & Metadata Manager

Inspect, edit, preserve, or remove supported PDF metadata online with local browser processing, document properties, honest security limits, and no watermark.

About PDF Security & Metadata Manager

Inspect, edit, preserve, or remove supported PDF metadata locally with document properties, honest security capability reporting, and browser-side export.

A PDF Security and Metadata Manager helps review the information stored in a PDF before the file is shared, archived, submitted, or published. PDF metadata can include a title, author, subject, keywords, creator software, producer software, creation date, and modification date. This browser-based tool focuses on supported metadata inspection and cleanup. It also reports security capability limits clearly: the current implementation detects password-protected PDFs, but it does not bypass passwords, remove passwords, create encrypted PDFs, enforce permission controls, add digital signatures, or claim forensic sanitization.

How to use PDF Security & Metadata Manager

Upload one PDF or create the local sample document. The tool inspects file-system properties, readable PDF document properties, supported metadata fields, page count, PDF version where available, page dimension summary, and password-protection status. Choose Preserve metadata, Edit metadata, or Remove supported metadata. Review the original-versus-new comparison, copy or download the metadata summary as JSON or TXT, set a safe output filename, and click Apply changes only when ready. The final PDF is generated locally after that action, not on every field edit.

PDF Security & Metadata Manager example

A client report may still show an old internal title, an outdated author, or creator software from the original draft. A proposal can be updated with the correct client-facing title and author before sending. A contract, invoice, marketing document, academic file, internal record, or public download can be inspected for supported metadata and exported with edited or cleaned fields while keeping the original file unchanged.
